This not including ultra luxury cars (Bentley, Maybach etc..).Every other car make has plants in usa..and at least two models manufactured in the usa except for Audi/ Volkswagen!?Well I think Hyundai/ Kia is the second one that has no plants in the Usa or models made here!?

cuz its not an american made car...hence the name "import car"...its a german made car, with dealers in America but not manufacturing plants...volkswagon is german made as weel, hence import car, kia and hyndai are both south korean=import....and other asian companies include toyota and honda...the only cars really MADE in america are(obviously general motors cars) like gmc, ford, chevy, lincoln, saturn, mercury, and that should just about su, it up...hope that helps

Audi is looking to build a plant in SC, after the success BMW had with their x5 and Z3/4 plant.

Hyundai has a factory in Alabama and Kia is going to open one in Georgia. So, actuallythe term import is not that simple any more. Nissan, Subaru, Honda, Toyota and Isuzu all have plants here in the U.S., primarily in the southeastern U.S. BMW has a plant in South Carolina. Not sure about other makes. GM, Ford, and Chrysler may have cars assembled in foreign countries and sold here. You need to look at the dealer sticker and it will show you percentages of foreign made parts within each vehicle. I.E.- Ford Ranger transmissions are eith made in France or Japan. it will even tell you the amount of U.S. parts in the car. Most "American" cars are actually built in foreign countries and "import" cars are usually made in the USA! While GM, Chrysler and Ford are closing plants, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and other companies are either building more or taking over idle plants.
